ICX (ICON)

ICX is the native cryptocurrency of the ICON blockchain network, which focuses on connecting and enabling interoperability among various blockchains and their communities. ICX has multiple uses, including paying transaction fees, engaging in governance processes, and accessing decentralized applications (dApps) on the ICON network. Additionally, ICX supports ICON's Blockchain Transmission Protocol (BTP), facilitating cross-chain communication and value transfers. Operating on a delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, ICX allows holders to stake and delegate their tokens to validators, who are responsible for block production and network decision-making. ICX has a total supply of 985.5 million tokens, with 972.6 million currently in circulation.
