IBEX35 (IBEX 35)

The IBEX 35 is a benchmark stock market index of the Bolsa de Madrid, Spain's principal stock exchange. Comprised of the 35 most liquid Spanish stocks traded in the Madrid Stock Exchange General Index (IGBM), it is a market capitalization-weighted index. The stocks represented are reviewed twice annually and are a mix of sectors, with the most significant weightings typically in the financial, telecommunications, and energy sectors. The index is used as a gauge of Spain's overall market performance and economic health.
