DJIA (Dow Jones Industrial Average)
The DJIA, or Dow Jones Industrial Average, is a stock market index that measures the stock performance of 30 large companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States. It is one of the oldest and most commonly followed equity indices, often used as a barometer for the general state of the U.S. stock market and the economy. The index includes companies from various industries except for transportation and utilities, encompassing a broad range of the American industrial sector.
